Dr. Silva
Shawn C. Silva, DMD, FICOI
Dr. Shawn Silva is a gifted teacher and clinician and is considered an expert in restorative, implant and esthetic dentistry in the state of New Hampshire. His unique approach to dentistry is founded in current research in clinical experience.
He attended University of Massachusetts Lowell for his undergraduate studies receiving his BS degree in Biology in 1994. He attended the University of Vermont School of Dental Hygiene and received his professional licensure and dental hygiene A.S. degree in 1997 from Middlesex Community College. He is an alumni of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he received his DMD degree in 2003.
Throughout his entire career, Dr. Silva has been committed to furthering his knowledge and skill for the benefit of his patients. His unique ability to listen to his patients’ desires, examine, assess, explain, and deliver the care that is most appropriate for each patient's expectations and unique needs differentiates him from other dentists and makes him a highly regarded clinician in his state of New Hampshire.
Office Manager
Christine Silva, RDH
Starting her career in 1989 as a dental assistant, Christine Silva worked alongside oral surgeons, periodontists, endodontists, and general dentists until 1995, gaining extensive knowledge and skills in various aspects of dentistry. She then pursued further education at The University of Vermont School of Dental Hygiene, earning an associate’s degree in dental hygiene, and became a licensed Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in Massachusetts, helping to support herself and Dr. Silva while he attended Tufts Dental School.
In 2003, after Dr. Silva obtained his dental license, the couple relocated to Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, where they opened their dental practice together. In 2010, Christine expanded her qualifications by obtaining a license to administer local anesthetics from NHTI.
Within the practice, Christine plays a multifaceted role, attending workshops and training seminars with Dr. Silva to ensure high-quality patient care, while also serving as the business manager, chief financial officer, human resource manager, and head of marketing and advertising. She continues to provide clinical hygiene therapy and assists Dr. Silva with complex cases. Outside the office, she finds joy spending time with her family, pugs, enjoying the outdoors, and listening to music.
